Prior to forming Ladye Wake Technical Services, John Grinham was employed in the corrugated board industry for some 22 years; holding various positions within Langston Europe at their Bristol, U.K. premises. Initially as a Service and Installation Technician and then later as Commissioning Engineer, before representing Langston as General Manager running their Chinese manufacturing facility. Upon returning to the U.K. after a three year period, becoming Customer Assurance Manager and later, Field Service Manager until the time that Langston was sold to Sun Automation.
At the request of several Box manufacturers and others within the industry, Ladye Wake Technical Services was formed in February 2001 to provide service, overhaul and repair support and assistance to the users of (mostly) Langston manufactured Corrugators and Flexo machinery. In addition, to supervise and assist with the relocation of secondhand machines, in all cases carrying out the critical levelling and squaring of Machine Tracks and Modular Units during the installation phase and prior to commissioning the equipment. Following this and if required, conducting the training for both Operators and Maintenance personnel.
Projects are regularly carried out around the World and often at very short notice. Subject to other commitments and any delay in obtaining necessary Visas where these are required, frequently travelling to site within 24 to 48 hours.
Projects have been completed in many countries; these including Sweden, Finland, Norway, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, New Zealand, Thailand, The Philippines, South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Mainland Europe, U.S.A. and The United Kingdom. Many being repeat visits to established multi-national customers.Besides Langston corrugating and converting machinery, equipment manufactured by United, Koppers, Marquip, Agnati, McKinley, Niwa, Dong Fang and TCY etc. have been installed, relocated and serviced at various locations around the world.
